Ramblings on the fine art of picking a dentist.

by tea in ideas

You know what’s really not entertainment - at least not where I stand from, not by a longshot? Going to the dentist. I swear, if there’s something in my life I regard as a necessary evil, it’s the mundane, yet potentially troublesome visits I have to occasionally make the see my dentist.

I don’t know what’s with my dentist trauma, maybe it’s a childhood thing. Actually, on second thought, I suspect my trauma derives from some less than commendable dentist professionals I’ve encountered in my youth, during my early forays into the world of dentistry.

To make a long story short, this is why I presently make a point of doing my research before I choose a new dentist. Yes, because now I CHOOSE my dental health care professionals, I don’t just stumble into their office like I used to. Besides, the cool thing is that most competent dentists nowadays seem to have invested themselves in the vast cyberspace landscapes.

For example, I’ve been hearing about these porcelain veneers Houston, and it sounds like a quality material. So, as I happen to need to get a tooth capped, I’m making sure I go as far as understanding the raw materials my dentist will be using. After all… you can never been too careful. Not when you’ve suffered trauma, baby.

Can you face your own inner truth?

by tea in videos

A lot of us go by living our own personal deceits, and the saddest thing about it is that once we succeed in fooling others, it doesn’t take long until we begin fooling ourselves. What if there was some kind of a magic mirror that would show us the truth about ourselves, the kind of truths we’re no longer able to see on our own? I think many people who be ominously scared of such a mirror, and in my opinion that is actually quite sad. If nothing else, because I really do believe the truth has the power to set us free from our sins; only once we recognize our faults do we have a chance of getting around them.

It’s just a sign of the day and age we live at - consummerism, that is. In the fast-paced contemporary reality of ours, buying things is problably one of the most widespread and generalist forms of entertainment. Granted, this is not the right time to waste away lots of money (with the global financial crisis and all that), but I’m going to tell you about something that might help cut down on your expenses, rather than your guilty pleasures.

This is something every intelligent shopper is already familar with: the amazing discount power of coupons. Yup, by looking around for the appropriate coupons before making online purchases, you’ll get so much more booty for so much less money… it will blow your mind away. A good example can be found in this page offering Christmas sales on computers, or maybe this one focusing Office Depot Coupons, Staples coupons, or VistaPrint coupons… and these are just some examples!

If you’re looking for a good souce for digital coupons, you simply must check out this website, since it’s one of the most comprehensive I’ve seen in a long time. Special discounts are available in a wide range of products, particularly where it’s concerned with office supplies. Highly recommended!

“Some people cause happiness wherever they go; others, whenever they go.” ~Oscar Wilde

Sometimes, people with the best intentions succeed in nothing but causing unwanted troubles. Sometimes, apparently bad things give birth to good fruits. Just goes to show that in a reality such as our own, we shouldn’t take anything at face value: it’s always best to evaluate the effect something has in its surroundings, rather than get obcessed about its intrinsic value. Because good or bad is most oftentimes a matter of perspective.

My plan to help MAKE a better world!

by tea in ideas

Okay, well. If you’ve visited this blog before, you might have realized I’m endowed with a peculiar sense of fun, right? For example, sometimes I get excited about the most inordinate ideas which sometimes I end up neglecting. Well, but I have fun anyway, since I happen to very much enjoy using my imagination.

Uhm.. This just goes to say (and by now you’re probably wondering what I’m thinking about setting myself up to) that I was wondering what it would be like to get properly trained as a heavy duty machine operator.

I mean, can you picture just how awesome it must be to be able to control all sorts of construction machine? As far as I can see, it’s the next best thing to being graced with actual super-powers! I’m telling you… one of these days I’ll just leave everything behind and sign up for a heavy equipment school. Then I’ll learn the ways of heavy equipment operating… and then I’ll be operating heavy machinery all the way to utter, unbounded bliss.

Oh, the possibities! Come on, people! I can’t be the only one to think it would be cool to be able to operate those machines, right? Go ahead, I want to hear your opinions: I know someone out there will be able to relate with this feeling.

Sneaky Ninja Cat Strikes Back!

There’s something about animals that’s just so amazing it will soften even the hardest of hearts. I mean, is there a human being who can help but feeling a little joy when looking at such a cute and intelligent creature as this one? I don’t want to ruin the video for you, but let’s say the present feline is arguably one of the stealthiest little pets this side of the Internet! And that’s by no means an overstatement, once you get to admire his special technique:

Enjoy your body, nurture your feelings!

by tea in society

If you’ll excuse me for the oxymoron, there’s something I’d like to say: We’re effectively living in a deeply shallow society. Yeah, everyone who has eyes enjoys looking at pretty things, and everyone who has a body enjoys the idea of drawing attention and desire. That’s pretty much how things work in our modern societies, and to be honest I really don’t think there’s anything wrong about it! I mean, not as long as we don’t place our looks in front of what really matters (like our feelings, for example)!

There’s really nothing wrong in trying to shape-shift our bodies to try and make them look more pleasant. So you don’t like your nose? If you can afford it, get it changed! Feel bad for being flat-brested? Simple! Treat yourself with a boob job surgery, there are many clinics out there specializing in cosmetic surgery. It’s really okay if you want to look your very best, but all the while, don’t forget there’s more to each and every one of us than meets the eye. And I’m not even going to say it’s what inside that really matters, because that’s quite obvious - or at least is should be.

My message for the new year is thus: do whatever you feel like doing, do whatever works for you. Enjoy yourself best way you can, but also do everyone a favor and try to keep your perspective fresh. And do your best to remain open to your feelings and everybody else’s… in time you’ll realize that works just like cosmetic surgery for the soul!

Batman interrogates the Joker! Confusion ensues.

by tea in movies

You might remember this scene from the amazing blockbuster movie “The Dark Knight”, which was arguably one of the top action movies in 2008. Well, this is the scene where the hero interrogates the bad guy while trying to get vital information off him. Actually, this is the *original* scene that was going to be featured in the movie, right until they decided to tone down on Batman’s bad-ass speech. I think it’s pretty impressive, nonetheless… although I do feel a little sorry for the Joker! I mean, you can see the guy really is trying hard to catch up on the whole interrogatory thing.
